UV Light Meter (UV energy meter) measurement status

First, the Chinese standard UV irradiance
   UV radiation is often referred to as a UV light meter energy meter. With economic development, illuminometer ultraviolet radiation (UV energy meter) use in industry, more and more ultraviolet radiation illuminometer traceability also become increasingly important. The international division of the ultraviolet band is not uniform. Currently China division for ultraviolet radiation band is divided into A1, A2, B, C four kinds of bands. Corresponds to the four band ultraviolet light source with high-pressure mercury lamp, high-pressure mercury lamp and a black light mercury lamp.

  China UV irradiance reference work mainly by spectral radiometer, the standard UV Irradiance Meter, a variety of UV light sources, etc., used to store and reproduce UV irradiance values. However, due to the above criteria, built in 1989, has been unable to fully meet the modern market for UV radiation meter traceability requirements. With the introduction of such devices abroad gradually increased ultraviolet radiation meter calibration has emerged coexistence of multi-national standards, giving the majority of ultraviolet radiation causing distress illuminometer users.

Second, the multi-national standards coexist in the market

   Currently, the United States, Germany, Japan, the three countries produce irradiation total domestic market share is still quite large, relatively speaking, the instrument is also doing well, good stability and long service life. But there is a big problem, even with a national standard does not seem to be completely unified. Such as the U.S. standard, UV irradiance are traceable to NIST, but produced different measurements. The two most typical radiation meter manufacturers, EIT and International Light, the same A-band measurement instrument to do with the national standard test, EIT indication error of 30% to 70%, while the International Light indication error but can be controlled within 10%, which is the basic and national standards. Germany and Japan also have the same problem the instrument, there is a consistent national standards and instruments are also a far cry from the measurement results of the instrument. If a German production of two different models of the same manufacturer instrument for measuring the same band, the measured result is very different. This may be due to calibration of the light source or the detector spectral response of the instrument caused not consistent. In short, the international community for the UV irradiance is no uniform standard to bind the manufacturer caused the coexistence of multi-national standards, it also gives UV irradiance measurement difficult.

   Here it is necessary to talk about Chinas ultraviolet irradiance standards in the international comparison of the situation. December 2002, China Institute of Metrology (NIM) participated in the Asia Pacific Metrology Programme (APMP) organized by the international community for the first time "UVA illumination detector responsivity international comparison APMP PR-S1". Comparison results showed that: in the seven participating laboratories, NIM magnitude and international reference values ​​closest UV365 narrow band and broad-band illumination responsiveness UVA illumination responsivity and international reference value deviation was -0.57% ( k = 2), and -0.53% (k = 2). Under certain conditions, the degree of broad band UV radiation reproducible measure of uncertainty is increased from 10% (k = 1) improved to 2.0% (k = 1). It should be said that Chinas current ultraviolet irradiance standards are trustworthy.
